Houghton International: Proud to Receive the Boeing Performance Excellence AwardPosted on April 4, 2019
Houghton International Ltd. are delighted to announce that we have been recognised by Boeing for supplier excellence under the Boeing Performance Excellence Award (BPEA).
The BPEA is an annual programme run by Boeing themselves which determines which of its suppliers are performing best against its criteria, and awards the top performers accordingly.
In order to receive this prestigious recognition, Houghton International have had to perform to the criteria set forth in Boeing’s Enterprise Supplier Performance Measurement system (ESPM).
ESPM is the process by which suppliers such as Houghton International are rated on three key areas: delivery, general performance assessment (GPA) and quality.
• Delivery refers to the percentage of pieces that the supplier delivers to Boeing on time
• GPA is a comprehensive assessment of four distinct business models – production, development, support services, and shared services
• Quality is based upon Boeing’s own scales for quality of service, based upon what exactly the supplier supplies
In order to be eligible for this award, a supplier must attain a gold or silver composite performance rating for the BPEA assessment period, which runs from the 1st October to the 30th September.
As well as this, the supplier must have an annual supply contract of at least $100,000 and a minimum of 10 monthly deliveries or GPA rating.
The supplier receives a trophy which can be displayed, recognition in Boeing internal and external press whilst also being made eligible for Boeing’s highest honour – the Supplier of the Year award.
We are delighted to have our efforts recognised in this way and extremely proud of the level of service that we have clearly been able to provide to Boeing.
