Introducing Rob Davey our new Equipment Business Development Manager for the UK
In this newly created role Rob will be promoting our bespoke equipment solutions to existing and new customers working with suppliers to deliver operational improvements and driving growth for Houghton. We have been successful in the UK growing our equipment sales mainly to existing customers via our Key, Fluidcare and Service accounts. This success has been supported by the Equipment team responding to opportunities gained by the sales team and converting sales for the business. In this role Rob will have a pro-active approach looking for new business opportunities in existing accounts and actively out selling the solutions to new customers. Rob will also work with the rest of the European team developing partnerships and new technologies to take to the market supporting our products.
Rob joined Houghton in 2005 as Strategic Account Manager and has been successful in growing his territory to one of the largest in the UK. This has been achieved by driving new business opportunities in all sectors and Rob leaves the territory with exceptional customer relationships with major customers such as GKN Aerospace, RR Filton, Spirax Sarco and Continental Teves to name a few.
Prior to joining Houghton Rob worked as Sales Engineer selling specialised equipment and some of the recent growth he has achieved in his current position has been through our equipment offering. This experience with his understanding of our customers, applications and potential solutions we are confident Rob will be able to grow the Equipment sales in line with our business growth targets.
